Congrats to Brussels’ Deltaworker of the Month for June, Thomas Jonckers!

No matter what job they’re doing or where they’re at, Deltaworkers always do their best to deliver outstanding work. To reward their efforts and attitude, we came up with the Deltaworker of the Month award, which is granted to one Deltaworker in every region each month. Brussels’ winner this month was Thomas Jonckers, a 24-year-old interior designer, furniture builder and recently graduated sous-chef at CVO COOVI. Read on to discover why he likes working at Deltaworx.

How I discovered Deltaworx

“I moved to Brussels two years ago and ended up living in an apartment close to the Deltaworx office. Some of my friends were already working for Deltaworx and spoke very enthusiastically about it. For me, it was crucial to be able to choose my own working days and hours, since I was in the middle of an entrepreneurship trajectory at Syntra at the time.”

My kind of jobs

“Since I already had a degree in interior design and was still studying furniture building, I started working at a joiner. The job taught me all about installing customized interior. I’m currently working as a student at a car rental company at the airport. What I like most about that job, is spending time in open air and the nice colleagues. I have a wide range of interests and passions, which I can fully explore thanks to the great diversity in jobs and locations Deltaworx offers.”

King of carpool

“Over the last month, I’ve been available many days and tried to be as flexible as possible to fit my employer’s needs. On top of that, I always offered to carpool with other Deltaworkers. Why wouldn’t I open up my car if I have free seats and someone needs to get to the same place? I think maybe that gesture is why they granted me the title Deltaworker of the Month. If I have one advice for other Deltaworkers, it’s to be flexible and work a lot.”
