FAQ’s

Are students less expensive?2024-09-02T08:29:48+00:00

Yes, hiring students is often more cost-effective than hiring regular temporary staff workers. Students benefit from reduced social security contributions, which results in lower overall employment costs for your business while still accessing talented individuals.

Are students available during office hours?2024-09-02T08:28:58+00:00

Absolutely. Many students have flexible schedules and are available to work during regular office hours. We ensure to match you with students whose availability fits your operational needs.

Can you guarantee stability with student staffing?2024-09-02T08:28:39+00:00

Yes, we strive to provide stability in student staffing by carefully selecting and matching students who are committed to their roles. While students typically balance work with their studies, we make sure that their schedules align with your business needs, and we maintain a pool of reliable talents to cover any gaps.

Can a graduate still work as a student worker?2024-07-26T15:02:26+00:00

After graduation, school obligations end, and the student is no longer classified as a student. Therefore, they can no longer work as a student worker.

However, there is a specific exception for most graduates: if they graduate in June, July, August, or September, they can still work as a student worker until September 30 of that same year. After this date, it is no longer allowed, even if they are registered as job seekers at that time. Note that the job as a student cannot be intended as an informal trial period for future employment with the same employer in a similar position.

If studies are terminated without graduation, they are no longer primarily engaged in their studies and do not meet the conditions to work as a student worker.

Does a student worker need to be paid double when he works on a holiday or Sunday?2024-07-26T15:02:11+00:00

Normally, a student is not paid double when working on a Sunday or public holiday, unless it involves overtime. However, some sectors offer bonuses or other benefits to employees working on Sundays or public holidays.

This depends on the PC your company is in, for example:
PC130 > You are entitled to a 100% surcharge on the normal wage for all hours worked on that day.
PC321 > You are entitled to a 100% surcharge on the normal wage for all hours worked on that day.

Is a student worker allowed to work on a Sunday or public holiday?2024-07-26T15:01:44+00:00

In principle, working on a Sunday or public holiday is prohibited for everyone, but there are exceptions. 18+ student workers have the same opportunities as regular employees to work on Sundays. Stricter rules apply to minor student workers. Exceptions are made for, for example, sports events, cultural or social events, bakeries, and pastry shops.

Other exceptions are also possible. Minor student workers, however, may only work one out of two Sundays and must have at least 36 hours of rest after working on a Sunday.
